  • Thank you!! This has been hard for my parents. I have had to help my dad/mom feed him and I walk away in tears. My parents called tonight and they are taking him back to the specialist on Tues to see what is going on with Dakota. We are praying for the best news possible...we love Dakota soooo much!!
Dakota really needs prayer!! We took him off one type of med because it gave him ulcers and GI problems. That turned him off food. The specialist wants us to try the med again....but his health is our main concern (we kept him on chemo though)!! My dad right now is having to feed him through syringes until the ulcers clear up. I see Dakota 4-5 times a week. He is my buddy :) Please continue to pray for him...we are all torn up over this and cry everyday. We are just waiting on God to heal him! Thanks so much for your prayers and belief. It helps to know someone else knows he can be healed!
I like to think that I'm at least a little bit smarter than my dogs, at least! LOL!

I do love this breed, and I can't see ever moving away from it....I tried to depart from it when my Timber died in 2008, but no other breed could compare!
Hi Mally's Mom. Congratulations on your engagement. When is the date?

Our pups are silly, aren't they? I just love watching Indie frolic in the snow. There are times when he would limp because it's so cold and he's got snowballs on his feet (usually after he's kicked off his snowboots). So, there's been a few times when my hubby would carry him home from a short walk! The first year when Indie discovered snow, he didn't know what to think of it. I think it was the color that threw him off really. But the rest is history. I still don't like winters, but then I really love snow because Indie loves it. He's such a clown when it comes to snow.
It's funny you mention the little doggy - Indie has a little girlfriend who is also a shi tzu type dog. They are really great running pals!
These pictures are wonderful! They are "fantasical" (is that a word?) Complements to your fiance!
Wow! I've never been asked that before! My brother is a writer and has a PHD in English. My 18 year old son has won writing awards in junior and senior high school.

My Mom is an amazing letter writer....when they lived overseas (Prague and Moscow)she was an amazing storyteller. I keep telling her that she should publish her letters.

But noone has EVER suggested that "I" had the gift of writing! I'm the business person in my family!

I'm stunned that someone would ever ask ME if I was writer! I'm an avid reader though! I eat up fantasy novels like no tomorrow.

My boys are the boys. Indy drives me crazy with his obsessive "love me" behaviour. Bacca still acting weird over his food..... He goes for more bloodwork on Wednesday to confirm him hypothyroid levels.

Mally's pictures are phenomenal! If I remember, it is your hubby who is the photo taker. He's got real talent! A second career!
Hello Mally' mom.Thank you for thinking of me. It has been a difficult year. Today, it has been a year since I saw Heidi last. We never found her. I think of her all the time, cry alot. The phone calls/sightings have stopped. I guess now, it is time to really move on.That is really hard for me. We did adopt 3 dogs: 2 female shelties (age 2,7) and one sheltie/beagle mix (age 1).The get along well, only an occassional fight. They give us such Joy. We rescued a 6mo male sheltie that was "dumped" in a field (we thought it was Heidi). He was only 8lbs skin and bones.Vets stated that he wouldn't have survived out there much longer. My cousin has him, and doing very well.My husband and I are now volunteers with our Pet Detective looking for lost pets.We talk to people on how to protect their animal from getting lost. For us, we don't want anybody go thru want we did. It make us feel that our loss of Heidi was not in vain. I will continue to keep you updated on our progress.
I'm glad you liked my comment. I want to thank you for posting that picture up, too. It was cute and well done. I like the warm effect around Mally and who can resist an engaging title like that? It's bound to be full of happy and exciting events!
    Ania,
Thank you for the kind words regarding Mally's pictures.
Don, my fiancee is the photographer, not me. The program he used is Photoshop Elements.
