12 year old Sheltie

I am not sure if I am posting this in the right place; but I saw a male Sheltie on the Lexington Humane Society site; he is 12 yrs old. Not sure who to contact about a Sheltie rescue to go get the little guy. Does anyone know someone personally in KY or close by that does Sheltie rescue? I got Noelle out of TN.

I also saw an absolutely Beautiful Collie at PetSmart this week (Sable) that is 6 yrs old; I was so worried about him as it said he has traveled the roads for 6 yrs! I went back to ask about him and a lady with a female collie had him "on hold"....going to go back and check. I actually called a Collie rescue here in KY and they NEVER called me back.

I hate to even say this; but Kentucky....well I am not gonna say it. Anyways I asked the other day about this Humane Society and was told that they are a "low" kill shelter. Only if they are very old, sick or aggressive. Any ideas?

Thank you; I knew about this shelter and even tried to contact them when I was trying to adopt a rescue but they would never return my calls and didn't seem to interested in MY interest to adopt. I did call the number on the site and it has been disconnected but I sent an e-mail to the e-mail address.

As I said, I AM from KY..and I hate to say......but....

I have no idea. I e-mailed a KY rescues, no luck so then I e-mailed the rescue where I got Noelle out of TN. She sent me an e-mail and said she sent out an e-mail to all National Sheltie Rescues. I followed up and she was checking but I have not heard back yet.

I did notice that Chance (the male Sheltie) is no longer on the Humane Society site. Perhaps a Sheltie rescue went to get him; I certainly hope so. Just wish I knew. The Humane society will give NO info.
