She is still doing well. Here is a pretty good pic of her from today. I am liking her head piece :smile2:.

I thought she was a bi-black? Looks like she has some tan points..

She did look biblack at birth, but those are definitely tan points.

Genetics are going to be fun if I am able to get her. She has a CHW sibling, so white factoring is likely. Biblack dam, blue merle sire so bifactoring or trifactoring is in the mix.

She's cute regardless! I was just like.. wait.. I see tan! Pretty soon she's going to be all fluffy and I'll really swoon over her.. love those fluffy Sheltie pups!

Her litter mate has been really struggling. He wasn't getting enough milk, and bottle feeding wasn't doing enough. He has finally turned around by being tube fed. The picture of my girl that Ashley took with him beside her though, is pretty darn cute. He is the tiny one.....

That size comparison is like my Hanna and her litter mate when I went to choose. She was literally twice as big as her little sister at 8 weeks! Such a cute photo!

Wow, the size difference is really incredible. I'm glad that the tube feeding has gotten him on the right track now.

If her dam is a bi black and she is a Tri then geneticly she is a bi factored Tricolor. That is all she can be. Got Bi gene from mom which is masked and Tri gene from dad. No obvious merling. Those Bi factored Tris sometimes are not obvious for even up to 1-2 weeks.

WF is tricky because she may or may not show it, hence the suprise CHW. We just had a similar litter with Celtics' litter, 1 CHW 2 apparently NWF and the rest WF(5). odds 25% NWF, 50% WF anf 25% CHW when 2 WF dogs are bred together.

Genetics are fun. :smile2:

What excites me is with that kind of mix, a mating with Fletcher has a lot of possibilities. Fletcher's sire is white factored, so he may be a hidden white factored dog. He is bifactored, so you could have tri factored or bifactored dogs. Then the merling comes in to play. We could have biblack, tri, biblue, blue merle, and CHW all in the outcome.
