3 months old!

He does great! He did get car sick once but I blame our terrible roads here for that. We have a Snoozer Lookout II that we got years ago when traveling long distance with our first small standard doxie. It's nice because it has a drawer under so I can stash bowls and supplies there so I can provide food, water, snacks. It actually fits both Kooper, our current small standard doxie, and Brodie together, but I doubt it will always be that way.

I use Hug-a-Dog harnesses and they have both a clip for the Snoozer harness as well as a handle so I can also use the harness with a seatbelt and a towel directly on the bench if I use my husbands car.
He is absolutely adorable!
The Hug a Dog is made for doxies right? How does it do on a sheltie? I have been looking for a harness Beau will not hate, this one looks comfortable, most of them press down in the middle of his back.

Yes, the Hug-a-Dog was initially started for Doxies many, many years ago. But they are GREAT harnesses. We've always used the mesh ones because I felt they'd be more comfortable in the summer than fabric, but the fabric are more stylish! They launder well (mesh at least) - I still have our originals that we bought when the doxies were pups so the oldest one is over 14 years old! Brodie used the smallest when we brought him home and has graduated to the next size. They have about 3 - 4" of heavy duty velcro to fasten on the chest area and then around the body and both hold very, very well but we've never had a full size active, pulling dog on them. There is also a strap with a clasp around the neck area for a safety over the velcro.

They are easy on, easy off. I love ours and they are working very well with Brodie so far although I will have to buy a new. larger version for him as he grows - no complaints! I see from the Dachshund Delights website that my versions are now called the Hold-a Dog and you can see in the pics how they work in a car with a seatbelt.

I saved the image of Brodie on my iPad! I'm going to show my husband! How are you doing his ears Sandy?

I sort of followed instructions I found on this forum that someone had posted and I saved .... http://wyndewayshetsheep.com/ears.htm

But honestly, it was more of hubby holding a very squirmy baby and just going for it as quick as I could and hoping for the best! I did his wonky ear first to make sure it was done right. I did both the individual ears and then glued in the middle. It was 3 weeks yesterday and they are still holding.

I used this hair extension glue off Amazon, it's black so it doesn't show in his fur. https://www.amazon.com/Proclaim-Dar...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=NQ2QZJ2HFESDZJ5MJ3HM It seems WAY too runny when you go to use it, I poured some on a plate and was like no way is this going to work! But then when the glue touched the hair - bingo - it worked! I also bought glue remover recommended here on the forum called Detachol but have not used it yet.

I give kuddos to the hair extension glue because Brodie and Kooper play rough every single night chewing on each other and it has held. I think the trick is to use the hair to hair technique shown in the link with the proper hairs so they don't pull. I also massage his ears every morning while we are play grooming.
