So you could do one on any 3D printer but to really excel you need multi-color capability. I have been playing (printed nothing yet) But orange with a white ruff and black eyes. For better I could paint a white blaze on his nose. Also there is black/orange PLA that I think would really add to realism.... Of course if that works then turn the orange to grey and add black splotches for Ian......

Whatever you choose. I plan on using a plastic called PLA. It is cheap and comes in a billion colors. There are others like the flexible stuff that would a bad choice for this but I plan on some ring/labels for 5 gallon jugs as to Premium etc and flexible would be the choice. A really interesting option that is still TBD is the ability to print silicone. Different choices based on need and cost. Some are easier and others difficult to print.
