That will be interesting. I know he will LOVE all the dogs as he is a social butterfly on that front. As to the people..... he is improving but new people are scary sometimesHappy Birthday Spitfire!

I think he will find Jasper a hoot, hopefully he behaves enough though. Sometimes he gets brutal with Sca since Sca is tolerant and has such a size advantage. If not time out for petting.

Ooops!!!! I am having more than my normal 'challenge' with time. The one in August is racing at Nashville so yes, next month Spitfire visitsThat will be interesting. Happy belated birthday, little brother! Good for you for chasing off the thunder booms. I do that too, even though Mom and Dad don't like it. SOMEBODY has to chase that monster off, and it sure isn't gonna be the cat!
Too bad your dad ruined your birthday chipmunk hunt. My birthday was spent in a crate in the car coming back from Ohio. Boo. That's ok, the trip was pretty good. Mom made me some sweet potato chews, I got spoiled by the grandparents, and I got to meet Mom's friends from college. You should not be afraid of new people, Spitfire. It's new dogs you gotta watch out for. They might bark, or try to sniff your face. Gross! I love new people though. They are really easy to sucker into petting me and playing with me and feeding me delicious snacks. Mom says that's because they've never suffered through a thunderstorm with me. Ha! Mom's funny.

Well, Happy Birthday to you as well, SheepofBlue. How nice to share a b-day with the pup. When I was a kid, my birthday was one week before our Sheltie's. She actually shared a birthday with my cousin... which is the only reason why I know when that cousin's birthday is!
I can't believe Lerwick and Spitfire are already a year old. Lerwick is shedding big time right now, so he actually appears to be getting smaller and smaller as I comb more and more loose undercoat out of him. Soon he'll look like he did at 6 months! His ruff has really thinned out... but so far his tail is still pretty puffy.
Hopefully we'll be able to get the boys together for a reunion before their second birthday. Sure wish I could join in the Southern Gathering this year, but oh well. Even if we could go, I'm not sure how well Lerwick would take that many new dogs at once... even if they are all awesome Shelties.

Huge progress! I think he waited to be a year. Last night at flyball class Spitfire did down and sit stays perfect. More importantly we made progress on the box 
I have work to do but I now know what. He was going around the cone in front of the box being super fraidy dog. This after doing great arounds getting a ball. Well then the coach said something and it clicked. So I suggested we swap her behind the box for her husband and poof he did great. Seems to be a bit of left over fear of getting picked up and put out. The strange thing is he is not afraid of women in general and likes MJ. He was going over to say hi when she was sitting. I figure we can work on this at tournaments and petsmart with strangers. In the meantime he can make progress on the jumps and box with Jerry behind the box
