9 month old Barley in the snow

Barley looks absolutely gorgeous Fireweed, just beautiful! I'm curious though how much are you feeding him? I'm still feeding Piper 1 cup per day ( he's on the Go Duck and Potato, grain free) and he's turned into a food hound lol. This from a dog that used to be hard to get him to eat 1/2 cup per day now he wolfs down 1 cup. I haven't weighed him in over a month but he feels heavier (16 pounds maybe). I'll try to post a picture of him this weekend. It's hard to believe that they're almost a year old....where did the time go? I can't wait until I can give him free reign but that time hasn't yet come haha, still a crazy puppy.

We were feeding 1/2 cup in the AM and PM, but Marilyn commented that it was too little. I didn't think it was too little, but we've upped it to 3/4 cup twice a day plus a tablespoon of wet food at each meal. He eats it all, and doesn't seem like he's gained too much. I'll keep an eye on him, but Marilyn was giving him 1 cup in the morning and night, which seemed excessive. Fromm is a good food (so is the Go!) and it's pretty nutrient dense. I think we'll keep an eye on him and see how he does!

Wow 2 cups of food a day does sound like a lot, how big is Barley? I dropped in at the vet on Saturday and weighed Piper and I was right about his weight, he's exactly 16 pounds and probably between 14-15 inches (haven't measured him since October) but I'm thinking of cutting down on his food (at least on days when we do obedience) because he's a total food hound now, I could feed him a bucket of food and he'd eat it all lol.
