Just thought I'd post an interesting N=1 result we think we're seeing with Boots and Curcumin.
Current Lit. showed inflammation/pain reduction starting at 1 month, increasing to 3 months.
Started adding 1/2 tsp/meal (1000mg), and basically forgot about it as most studies seem to start testing
for effectiveness after 1 month.
About 10 days later, out of the blue we noticed he was getting up more often and active.
Not a massive improvement or return to 'normal', but noticeably more willing to get up or go out without
cajoling or there being a snack potential.
We're using Bulk Supplements from AMZ, which is much cheaper than capsules.
Downside of saving $ is even a few specks of it on the counter are comically resistant to remove.
It will stain clothes, and a quick wet rag removal will dilute it and spread out.
Currently looking at making DIY gummies from organic bone broth and gelatin, and adding the curcumin, taurine, and other OTC to remove the hassle and ruff staining and bottle shuffling twice a day.
If anyone is interested, insure you're buying Curcumin extracted to 95%, and not just Tumeric powder.
Tumeric powder is IIRC 2% bio-available, so close to useless, along with sneaky advertisers selling 'Curcumin 95%', which when label is examined is actually a mix of cheap Tumeric powder and a small amount of 95% Curcumin extract.
I will try to take some pics of the gummie process if anyone is interested.
