Aw, Angus is gorgeous and sounds like he is doing good. It is always harder to introduce an older dog than a puppy, and it was going to be Epic that he needed to 'conquer' first. Hopefully they will be best friends.
Now, how would you like to swop him for a very annoying border collie?
I've have joked I won't ever have a baby puppy again! There is considerably more upheval to deal with and broken nights, chewing etc and instead I have a sheltie 'ready to go' with none of the worries about size, teeth and becoming entire.
Perhaps I should take up your offer though? Epic and Vixen would probably get on like a house on fire!!

Glad to report that housetraining is showing some improvement as I can now anticipate the timing of pooping events!
The last couple of days he has 'been' on his walk and I was able to give lots of happy praise. I prefer them to go in the garden, but at this point anywhere that isn't indoors is more than acceptable! There was only one urination incident too and it was a wee (as in little!) one so progress hopefully is being made.I went back to work today and when I got back heard barking
but when I went in, Garry hadn't put the radio on when he went out. Happily though I checked the video and they seemed to just mooch about and lay around and not a peep so thankfully it didn't seem to have been too much of an issue. The radio blocks outside noise but I also like them to have a set of cues that they are going to be left because they do settle better then. Angus has a sweet little run out to a target (mouse mat) now that I've worked on for a couple of days. It's always one of the first things I teach to introduce them to the clicker and to shaping and is the basis of the send so it builds confidence. I will start doing some puppy foundation work with him later in the summer but at the moment just want to focus on the basics. I'm in no hurry and will hopefully be showing him in breed (with Jessica doing some Junior handling) for the time being. Epic's training takes up the majority of my time and now Jacob's (the BC) Epilepsy seems to be under control, I have more than enough to do in training sessions! I shall probably start Angus off in the Autumn.
I've been grooming Angus almost daily to shift that wavy puppy fluff!! I would bath him, but I know the others will pester him - they always get excited when someone has a bath -and I don't think he's ready to deal with that yet. Got handfuls of undercoat out yesterday and it was really theraputic!

He also has the cutest trick - completely untaught as far as I know. I will try and get it on video to share.
