Holy cow, that photo really does bring it home! I'm glad you made it out in one piece, even if it was battered and bruised. Incredibly fortunate none of the dogs were in the car.

Just take your time, you will get there. I can relate. Since my eyes were operated on, I have only driven for essentials. They tell me my vision is okay to drive but I don't have my final appointment until mid June so I don't go far.
The only thing positive is my wifes driving doesn't scare me anymore. I have learned she is better than I thought lol

Is that because your vision is worse or is it because you’re used to it?

Well I can see distance but nothing close up yet. So I guess my answer would be I am used to it now and sort of enjoy my passenger status
