A long overdue hello

Oh that photo of Monty is priceless Darren….give me my puppicino hooman, I require some NOW!:ROFLMAO:
They do quickly learn when there’s a reward involved. A block from my house is a hardware store and over the past 8 years I’ve taken Piper in with me. The managers loved him and would always give him a cookie hence over time it became the ‘cookie store’. On a walk if we headed that way anytime we were close by he’d start spinning and barking hysterically and I’d have to stop in for him to say hi. I’d open the door and he would go running to the front counter for his treat. Now these managers have quit and moved elsewhere out of walking distance (we have visited by car lol) so I have to avoid walking in that direction! Poor Piper wouldn’t understand!
A few photos of my crew…Piper his tongue tends to hang out now and does tend to dry out if it’s been hanging out. He now knows a new phrase …I’ll ask him ‘are you thirsty , do you want some bone broth’? And he’ll You spin around and come running. That and sometimes I’ll pull on his tongue or move it with my finger and tell him to pull it back in:lol:…he doesn’t like that as much hahaha
Finnie still loves all toys including Mr Broccoli (I’ve had to bring him back in the house several times) and Blueberry is still a Princess…the only dog who feels entitled enough to sleep on my moms bed during the day! And my mom allows it! (My mom is 96…dogs aren’t allowed on a bed in her opinion)View attachment 20843 View attachment 20844 View attachment 20845

OK I have to admit the 'cookie store' made me laugh. It's funny how they can quickly turn a treat into a routine you must do. Sad to see they moved away but I'd have done the same as you and drive to them every so often, Can't be having them missing their cookies completely
Love the photos, Piper does look adorable with his tongue out, he'll be doing on purpose now so he can get his broth .
Good to see Finnie is still looking after Mr Broccoli, the army I sent out appear to be doing better than expected, I thought we would have had more casualties lol. Royalty tend to stick together so it looks like princess Blueberry is getting to use the Queens bed for a little relaxation time

Oh Darren that photo of Monty with his puppuchino is just too, too funny. Crazy how they train us to do their bidding, eh?

I'm thinking you must easily have enough material for another book.... or ten!!

I realized a while ago that my training had gone wrong it has been Monty training me all along :rolleyes2::lol:. He's also the only dog I know that can get himself into trouble 10 times of 10 in every situation  We've certainly go enough material for another book but I better save those stories for another time LOL.

That photo made my day. If ever a picture said a thousand words, that's it! I guess it's a good thing you didn't train him to demand steak every day! :ROFLMAO: And he sure doesn't look 9!

I'd have to take a 3rd work shift if he decides he likes steak :hide:ROFLMAO:, I better keep him away from the good side of town to be safe . The good thing about his puppuccino is the place has a fenced in area out back so I get to relax while Monty has his treat and then charge full speed all around the yard (well until other people come out back and then he has to go back on the leash for their own protection lol.
I'm starting to think he was minus 4 when I first got him haha, He's just not slowing down or relaxing even a little, here he is a 2am when I'm trying to be quiet after arriving home late from work and he has Mr B squeaking :rolleyes2:.

It's so good to hear everyone over there is doing well!! Hopefully you can find some time to keep us apprised!

Thanks Margi, so good to hear from you, I hope everything is good on your side :hugs. Oh and we still have renditions of Santa Broccoli every Christmas. I think you've created a tradition for us

Oh Darren I am SO thrilled to hear from you and see pics of Monty!!!! I have often wondered what happened to you all!

My boys still LOVE their Mr. Broccoli although Deacon has pretty much taken ownership over it when he finds it. I have a huge (almost 6 feet tall) cat tree from Kitty Mansions with a big box on the bottom. I stuff all the dog toys in there so and the boys stick their heads in the opening and dig around to pull stuff out. It's always exciting when it's Mr. Broccoli and Deacon can go rub it in Brodie's face that he has it.

Have to do celebration squeaks when Dad gets home. A far cry from the dirty timid guy that you saved from a life of horror to being family.

I think that's why I let him get away with so much and probably why I created a monster :ROFLMAO:. I always cast my mind back to the little dog that would only drink milk and would be sick if anyone lifted their feet off the ground around him.

Great to hear from you Sandy :hugsGood to hear another Mr B has survived . I like the idea of having a toy box for them to pick what they want to play with, although with Mont I'll just have to fill it with 10 Mr Broccoli's haha. I can just picture Deacon showing off to Brodie that he has pulled him from the box

Who could deny those doggies a single thing?

I know I can't which is probably why he is the master of the house lol.

not sure how caught up you are so posting pix of the young boys:winkgrin:

Oh wow, loving your two boys! Davy would be the perfect mascot for my football/soccer team Newcastle over here who play in black in and white . Love his white feet! and little white patch on his head haha.

OK Reggie is certainly suffering from an overload of cuteness lol, he looks like he'll be so much fun as well! I'm betting life is never dull with Davy and Reggie around haha.
