Michele, was this vet visit planned or strickly due to the vomiting?
If it's his regular visit he may be tuckered out just from all the vaccinations. I know when Kia goes to the vet even now, she gets wiped out due to the stress and shots. Hope Jasper has a better day tomorrow.

It was a planned visit,since they were closed on Easter monday.So far this morning,he seems to be back to his old self.He ate real well,and is playing outsisde right now.
Lets hope!

Michele, I'm so sorry to hear about Jasper! I hope he's feeling back to normal soon.

I can also say that trips anywhere, especially to a dog that's not a huge fan of the car, can be extremely tiring. It could just be that he had an exceptionally long, stressful day that is making him so lethargic.

Well I have found that out,for sure.Then coupled with all the heaving,it would wear me out to.

He slept real well last night,and is up right now playing with Trapp & Earnie

That is what the vet gave us for Louie to take before trips. He shakes and vomits any time we go further than about 15 miles from home. It was a wonder drug for him. It didn't seem to make him drowsy either.

I don't really think it was totally the medicine.I do think the stress of the whole day,and the amount of vomiting he did do,was enough to put him in the state he was in.

Medicine works though,and quite quickly.I have 3 pills left,and will only use one if it is absolutely needed.

The price of the 4 pills,just about shocked us.It was close to $40.00 for them.Its a good thing for us,that it is not a maintenance drug.But I have read that some dogs are on this for every day unexplained vomiting.Such as empty stomach,night vomiting etc..
