Piper's mom

I was taking the dogs outside yesterday evening at 8:30 when I saw a huge dog enjoying life and walking down the sidewalk. I initially looked for a human but the dog was alone. I called the dog (silly me, I’m in a locked yard with my three) and he came running to the dog’s window (and barking ensued!)
I went outside through my garage and found the loose dog in my front yard. I called hi puppy (clearly not a puppy
) and while initially a bit intimidated by his size (his head was the size of Piper!) he was very friendly. I snapped a leash on him and brought him into my garage, left him there and put my dogs in the house then went back to my new friend lol.
After posting on a local Facebook group the owners were found and we waited for them to come pick Forrest up. What a sweetheart this big guy was but it really made me appreciate my Shelties! He was a very well behaved dog who when I told him to sit he sat but when he pulled on the leash he MOVED me
!
I’m glad I was able to reunite them quickly because this big guy would not have come into my house (or yard) with my dogs!
They turned out to live just down the lane from us, when I told the owners where I live she said ‘is that the house with the doggy window’?
…
His escapade lasted maybe 10 minutes…hope he enjoyed his freedom! Lol
A beautiful dog who I think needs more exercise…he certainly enjoyed his walk! lol
