A storm of polyfill in Mia's x-pen~

What is it about that white fluff stuff that makes them nuts? I have lost a comforter to Pal due to that stuff, a couple of pillows on the couch have some holes because of the fluff and the blankets in the crate now have to be fluff free. It is like a drug to my boys.

Don't let Smudge fool you, either. When he had mange really bad, right after he got neutered, I was STUPID and put puppy pads in his crate. There was nobody at home alone to watch him (Mom was with Dad. I forgot where they were at - either Oklahoma or Texas) while I was at work overnight so leaving him in the crate was his only choice. Don't hate on my ugly gross 70s carpet. :yes: The "powder" on the floor is actually part of where he destroyed the puppy pad.

Nice work on the puppy pad. When the puppies were about 4 weeks old, I was on my way over to Rachel's to watch the pups as she had to work all day and I didn't. She called me on the way and said, she was running late because the pups escaped out of the exercise pen and trashed the laundry room. She didn't know have much Diva had to do with it. She wondered if I could clean up the rest. She had moved the xpen to the dog room.

Sure I thought how much of a mess could it be. I get there and every inch of the laminate floor is covered with puppy pads that had been ripped into 1-2mm pieces, poo and pee everywhere. Water turned over and everything paper mache to the floor.:eek2: I don't have pictures because I was in shock! Took 2 hours to clean up and lots of scrubing. Bock will rip up puppy pads to this day.:mad:

Jazz used to rip up all her beds when I first got her. I think I just stopped giving her beds for awhile when she went though the 4th one and was eating them. I was afraid something woukld get stuck. She out grew it after a year or 2. I can't remember.

Vogue is right now ripping up any bed with poly fill in it. We found that if it is just fleece or fabric she doesn't touch it.

I had to make Fluffy go without for a while. At first she would go to the bathroom on every new pet bed she got (and she was housebroken!). Then she started tearing them up. I felt kind of bad though, because in the winter I am sure the bottom of the crates are really cold on their stomachs, especially if they still have puppy fur! :eek2:

Oddly enough she has never attempted to eat the blue pillow that Jennifer made me. It's a small pillow that she made to put in the bottom of their travel kennel.

That's kind of what I figured, too. :wink2: :lol:

Set up a hidden camera and catch the culprit! The other night I stayed up watching a show called Bad Dog and was beyond amused. I thought I had heard some wild stories on the forum, but while his owners were at work this one dog:

1. Opened and eat crumbs out of the toaster oven
2. Opened the dishwasher and licked the food off the plates
3. Got into the trash
4. Opened the microwave
5. Opened the cabinet doors

A dog who can open a dishwasher?! :eek2:
 
I have the raised beds. I have 2..One stays outside on my deck, since even though its 18 degrees outside Noah still insists on sleeping outside:rolleyes2: and I have one under my windows in the family room..These beds are great!! I brought the first one in 06 at the nationals and the blue one has been outside since than pretty much 24/7 unless its snow/ice than I move it on the porch so I can shovel easier!:lol: its been though 5 puppies teething/chewing on it puppies using it as a trampoline, tunnel..etc and still looks new! Bailey is on bed #4...although in her defense, she didn't destroy bed #2. She just outgrew it.

I thought she was finally done torturing her beds, so I went out and spent $60 on bed #3. After she destroyed that one, I got her a cheap $10 bed. She is stuck with that one for a while. I think her next bed will be a kong one or a dog gone smart bed that k9Kreations suggested www.doggonesmartbed.com
