I saw that too so I have cut back some. He was 3/4 cup 2 times a day to 2/3 cup 2 times a day. Darcy is over 16"...Maybe I am feeding too much still?? 1/2 cup 2 times a day seems to me like it's not enough...

I had Indy and Bacca on 2/3 cup 2 times per day with Orijen (same manufacturer). Both my guys over 16" as well. It seemed the right amount.
Also with high protein, make sure they are getting lots of water. Not necessarily related to the softer stools, but necessary. Somewhere I read a recommendation to mix their kibble with water to ensure they get enough water, but I could never find the thread again.

Guys, remember, the higher quality the food, the less they need. I have Rasha only eating a 1/3 cup twice a day with a spoonful of canned food and she is at least 15 if not 16 inches tall and weighs 22 lbs. Marlie is smaller and gets only a 1/4 cup twice a day with a spoonful of canned food. Try cutting back a little bit more, you might see some improvement. My girls don't even act like they are hungry, well except when we have food but that's my husband's fault. That is a learned behavior!!

Since I've been dealing with transition and Bacca's health issues I'm all over the map right now. So forget what I said.

Nothing has really helped and I've decided to go back to a product with grain. I've just started him on the Innova. I will let you know how it goes.
If anyone has had experiences with Innova, please give me some input of what you think of the brand.

Just curious... why didn't you try taking him back to the Acana Pacifica if he had no problems on it? From what I can tell from your posts, he had no problems on the original food.
Also, how big is Darcy? You said you cut back to 1/2 cup twice a day, however, if he's smaller, that may still be a bit much. The majority of mine are on 1/2 cup total per day.

Acana is a good food, so I agree that maybe a switch back would be the way to go. Although Innova is fine as well. I'm just fond of the grain-free diet.
Both my guys are transitioning to Horizon Legacy (away from Pro Plan). As soon as the transition is complete, I will be cutting them back too, but I've not decided how much. The package indicates they should be getting about 1 1/3 cups per day, but I think that's too high. I'll probably be looking at 3/4 to 1 cup max.

He did have wet stool on the Acana Pacifica also. There has always been a little sludge and wet at the end of his poop ever since I took him off the Wellness puppy food and started on the Acana grain free adult. It just seemed the Acana Pacifica had less sludge. Darcy is between 16-17 inches.
