Accidents in Crate

She is 9 1/2 weeks. You have a good point, and I was thinking about that earlier. As I said, we took her out every 3 hours last night and we had no problems, so I will use tonight to gauge things and try to take her out once. The thinkg is, as of yet, she doesn't tell us when she needs to go ... She is a sound sleeper and not only does she not wake easily she never cries or whimpers, not even a bark. It makes for a wonderful nights sleep, but it also means that if she has to go, she isn't telling us. We have a great room attached to our bedroom, and she is in the corner in that room. So far sleeping in her crate there, in sight of the our bed, is working fine.

Thanks for reminding me that if I start middle of the night potty breaks ... I will be doing a disservice to both of us .

Same with Bailey. I got her at 10 weeks and she didn't whimper or cry for a few months. I took her out once in the middle of the night till she was about 4 months old. A few times I overslept and didn't take her out and she never wet her bed at night. Their bladder and bowels slow down when they sleep, so they have to go out every 2 hours like in the day time.
