Against Compulsion training

Myself, being a reformed compulsion trainer... wishing I had this kind of trainer way back when I was working with my crazy fear-aggressive GSD.
I ended up having to put him down because it got too difficult to control his many aggressions... He almost bit a child, and after that I had to put him down. I never got over the guilt of it, and haven't shared this story with many as I am still so very upset about it all.

I'm so sorry, I know how hard it is to have a GSD when the dog is just SO protective- so much so that it had a poteential to bite and do damage. Ours was just that- we did not risk having company over, and when we did we had to contain our dog in another room. When we went to the vets she had to be muzzled and tranguilized. The good thing was that she was predictable- off the property she was okay. But a few of her litter mates had to be put down for agression. Very sad,
