Agility GEAR?

Well, I must be some kind of rebel then because I often use a buckle collar and more than half the trials I go to (USDAA) it isn't required that the dog be on the collar/leash in and out of the ring!

I am talking about AKC. Sorry :o

You pass a certain point in the ring with the dog and you get disqualified if the leash is not on the dog. Some judges are REALLY strict with this rule (AKC).

I often see buckle collars on smaller dogs and their owners don't seem to have issues fumbling around either. Now my larger dog...I use a harness, but the slip collar isn't really a must for agility, but rather something certain people prefer.

I just watched your videos! You are an impressive team, I thoroughly enjoyed watching you guys work. I saw that you use a buckle collar, but you take it on and off as if it is a slip collar. Now I get it :wink2: I just couldn't picture how you can ever fumble around with a buckle while getting in and out of the ring.

LOL...and there goes my rebel status. I must conform when playing AKC agility since a step out of the ring will ruin a perfectly good run!
