Just Booked an agility trial holiday. Once a year during the summer I like to try and do a getaway trial to sample different venues and dogs and handlers other then our normal crowed. Last year I rented a van for 10 days and stayed at my sisters in Muskoka, and we attended MAD agility trial while we were on Vacation. This year they cancelled the usually summer trial here locally so finding a summer venue to attend, sort of became an priority, I wanted to do the regionals but we were booked with a wedding Video shoot for that weekend and I was Quite bummed about that, but hey that's the way it goes sometimes. Anyway while looking at the regional host club site I noticed that they were holding a 3 day trial on the same site as this years regionals in July, and thought seeing as how the regionals for the next 2 years are already booked on the same site it would be a greast opertunity to check out the venue and expose the pooches to the site. So after talking to the wife last night about it this morning I rented a deluxe log Cabin that is just across the road from the trial site at a KOA campground, booked the dogs for the 3 days of competition and rented a minivan for 4 days do get us and all or our gear there and back. I am really excited about it already 4 days in cottage country dog trialing by day and then sitting aroung a nice campfire in the evenings sounds like paradise, the cabin sounds great and looks great in the pics, 2 bedrooms, sleeps 6. air, full kitchen and bath, and linen and kitchen supplies already there. Sure sounds like MY Idea of Camping. Its sure will be an expensive weekend but its really is our Vacation get away so what the heck, I cna hardly wait hopfully we will get awesome weather to boot fingers crossed.
