Agility test

I'd get Dickens into agility if I had the time. But I've got a couple of 21-inch hurdles, a hoop and a tunnel in the back yard for him. I'm still amazed at his jumping abilities. I put up some two-foot fencing in the yard to keep him out of the freshly-seeded areas, and when he started going over the fencing I raised it to just under three feet. He jumped it as if it were nothing!

I am only asking because he shouldn't be on full height equipment yet or jumping anything.Bars should be set on the ground.

Glad you and he could get the agility bug, lol, careful it's addictive! :D

I would agree with Sharon tho, just the word of caution, although it is FUN, and clearly you guys had loads of that, it's important to NOT let new dog go on full equipment or get accidentally spooked, that can set training back for MONTHS, especially if you're going to try some agility at a later date :D
aka I think pretty much all of us have had a dog that get spooked once on a obstacle and when they get suspicious it can take months to get back to it successfully :D That's with not going on it TOO early, so just be aware of potential downfalls so to speak :D

There is SO much you can do tho to get prepared for agility without actually putting the dog on an obstacle, especially first timers tend to rush a dog to do obstacles before foundation and that always bites one in the butt in the end, lol, most of us know because we've done some of that :D
