AKC Measuring Question

I emailed the trial secretary again and she finally confirmed that the yellow measuring form issued by a VMO is proof of your dog's jump height, so Bailey doesn't have to be measured at this trial.

If we go to another trial and there is a VMO there, then Bailey will have to be measured by him/her, so Bailey can get her permanent jump height card.

If your dog doesn't have at least one yellow form then she has to measured by a judge before every trial until she gets one.

This is awesome, so I don't have to worry about showing up crazy early or tracking down a judge to measure Bailey.

Just remember....when you go and try and find your sticky label with your number on it, it will NOT be with everyone else's. It will be in the file card box that is usually on the measuring table. Just and FYI in case you didn't know this, as we had this problem one time and forgot that they were holding our number.

Yes, good point, thanks!

I should also mention that until you have a permanent height card, you always have to check off "dog needs to measured" on entry forms... even if your dog has a yellow card form. That's why they hold your armband sticker. I guess they have to see your yellow paper first as proof.
