AKC Trial Cancelled

There was a site like that in Northern VA. The water just sat on the fields. We have pictures of my dad and his dog up to their elbows in mud, the a-frame was mud, the weaves were covered in mud, and she was the only open qualifier in Standard. She LOVED it. Nobody uses that site anymore.

I think this park is the same one that Danielle said flooded in 2011. Apparently, a few years ago, it flooded so much that the equipment started floating away and many people lost their tents, crates, etc. Bailey is not a fan of the rain, but I think she would still do agility in it... I don't think I would be comfortable running her in the rain. I've seen her lose her footing when the grass just had a little moisture on it.

I just found out about the high incidence of flooding in this park, so lesson learned. I won't enter any future trials at this site.

So two of the four trials I entered this month were canceled. I guess I will just have to enter more trials in the fall :wink2:.

I ran my dogs in the rain for a lesson last night. Evie didn't care and ran her little tail off. River acted like he couldn't possibly work in the rain (It's touching me!!! I'm going to hide under the a-frame).

Just pull up the chute and run.

I don't disagree--as long as it isn't dangerously wet, it's fine. I don't run Lexi because of her patella issue. Bentley, surprisingly, will run just fine in the rain! He won't potty in it, or go outside for any other reason, but he runs just like normal :)
