Wait, wait, hold up a minute... it sounds like this particular CL post is from a person who was in a similar situation and is asking the initial snarky poster to think twice before judging. "Not saying this is the same kinda situation. Just pointing out that you don't know."
I know that everyone here is very emotionally invested in Angus's safe return - we all imagine what it would feel like if we were in Janet's shoes, and we react accordingly. But I'll second *Caro's request that we keep ourselves focused on supporting Janet, praying for Angus's return, and doing what we can to assist the search.

We all feel for Janet and are all praying for Angus to be returned to her or Amber. However, there are lots of people who are scam artists and will take advantage of any situation. There are also lots of legitimate people out there who don't always phrase things clearly or who may not be as computer literate as others. If someone is in a depressed state, things are said that are not clear to the average person and sometimes people who are depressed cannot correctly phrase things as they want to and have no idea how to go about it. I agree we need to keep praying for the situation, but we need to step back and take a huge deep breath and not rush to judge others lest we be judged in the same manner. We don't know all about whatever situation this particular person is in nor do we know what measures Amber is taking to find Angus.

I continue to pray for Angus and Ruffles for their safe return. I pop in to see if there is good news.
Just an idea, the land owners with guns. If you have no idea who they are, you can jot down their address, look on your auditor's site for a name, and look up their phone numbers to give them a call to avoid going on their property. You may even find some very compassionate landowners who like to scare people to stay off their land, so these strangers don't take advantage of using the land to hunt without permission.

I think everyone needs to take a step back and re-group here...Everyone is acting on JANETS behalf and its time JANET steps up and states what SHE would like done!!!! Again im going
to re-iterate my post from last night...its nice everyone is going all out and helping but unless YOU are physically there searching chances of finding him are slim to none....Especially if
your relaying on the AC or the Shelters...its just not going to happen they are understaffed and overwhelmed by their day to day activites!!!!!!!

Sorry guys. I feel horrible and responsible. I posted the craigslist link here without reading it carefully. I jumped to the conclusion that whoever posted it was posing as Janet.If you actually take the time to read it like Tofu Pup and Lightplum, you will see that it is someone, who is explaining their OWN situation as to why the same dog might be posted as missing and advertised for rehoming.
Of course this doesn't explain why Angus is posted for sale on iwanna. If Janet posted that, then that's her own business. If she didn't, then someone is posting a scam.
Anyway, from now on I will do a better job of thoroughly reading everything and not form an opinion until I know all the facts. I will take a step back from this because I feel I did more harm than good to this thread. I apologize again and continue to pray for the safe return of Angus.
