Angus is missing

As we all prayed together last night, I am sure we are all praying together this morning. Please God,hear these prayers and make this the day that Angus finds his way safely home to Janet or to someone who will help him home.

How about all praying at the same time tonight say 9:00 est.

I have been off line, out of town at a friend's ordination, so I didn't know about this. But I did pray for both Angus and Ruffles during the service this morning, and since all time is God's time...

I re-contacted all of the shelters for dogs in the Haywood and Buncombe county district....no sightings of him. I also had friends post fliers in their vet's offices in Canton, Candler, and Waynesville and I have posted here and at REACH. Amber has also put up fliers and had her neighbors on the look for Angus.
I asked the officer at the Asheville office if there was anything else to do; and she said no; that posting fliers with reward, notifying neighbors, and checking with animal shelters and vets was about all.

Here's an aerial view of the region between Amber's house and mine...as you can see she lives out of town a good bit and the majority of the terrain between her house and mine is the Pisgah National Forest or other virtually unpopulated, tree-covered, rough terrain. (Scroll out using the - and then move to the right and up to find Weaverville). If he is indeed going "as the crow flies" he could pretty much avoid populated areas. He would also have to cross the French Broad River at some point in order to come home, and there are not many good crossing points.

The best hope is someone sighting him and bringing him in, or that Angus approaches people (or comes here) on his own. This is the height of biking, hiking, and camping season so I'm hoping that people will see him and help him home.

Janet thank you so much for the updates!!

You have done everything you possibly can do, now he's in Gods hands either way. At this point you can rest assured knowing you did everything humanly possible to bring sweet Angus home.

Still praying and sending my hugs to you and your family

Have you contacted the rangers? Shelties are terrible food hounds (and cute) and he might be begging in the camping areas...

Prayers Continuing

Continuous prayers for Angus, your family, his other people and also for Ruffles, another sheltie, missing. Lord continue to direct their steps only the way You can. Thank you. In Jesus name
