June and July are big doggie birthday months in our house. Yesterday Misty turned 6! It's hard to believe she isn't still 2, she has the exuberance and energy of a puppy. She delights in bopping the ball over the fence with her nose when we're playing, and then standing at the fence looking at me like, "Well? Fetch!" And I do. Of all my dogs, she is the most attuend to me and has been my shadow and comfort through the difficult past few years. I don't know what I'd do without her. She's getting a special birthday present...a set of fancy new balls to bop over the fence.
