Any Tips on Post-Neutering?

Our bassets usually handled neuter very well. Their climbing and jumping was limited for a few days, though.
One of our low-riders was neutered in the winter. He took great pleasure in wading out into the snow & standing there, usually with a look of relief on his face
I can picture that
- my previous dog was a basset mix- his legs were a little longer than a purebred. We lived in FL at the time of his surgery so he didn't get the pleasure of snow until Christmas when we visited the family up north.

I meant, do dogs take neutring and spaying different than cats? Is it harder on them? My kitty didn't even act like we neutred him. He just sleep alot after. He wasn't even giving pain meds.

I didn't read the whole question - ie. about it being for the same with cats! Sorry! Didn't mean to imply you were some blond from San Fernando valley!

Bacca was cyrptoid. Part of the reason why I held off the surgery for both the boys until 11 months. I kept hoping his testicle would descend to avoid the abomindal surgery. No luck!
Indy rebounded the same day, but stayed in hospital overnight with Bacca who needed the extra recovery time. Bacca felt fine after 24 hours but I really had to work hard to get him not to over-exert.
