I've had one who hated the heat, and one who can't get enough of it.
Chelsea used to crawl under a portion of the deck, only about 12-15" clearance, dig a nice cool hole, and lay there and pant. In the house, she'd find the coolest spot she could, lay there, and pant. I always accused her of 'running hot' to begin with, she didn't need more.
April, on the other hand LOVES heat/sun. Summer, she'll lay out on the deck, and sun, no, bake herself. In the winter, I heat with a wood stove. She'll lay 12" in front of it, and soak up every little bit of heat she can.
