I love this from AgilityNerd:
One Jump Drills
I was also in an apartment, so this is what I did.
With the stairs, you can teach 2on-2off. If you're doing running contacts, that's more difficult. I utilized hallways to pick up speed and force him to do things, like the chute when he hated it. Also, hallways teach them they need to stop too.
If you are doing running contacts, you can try Rachel Sanders box for the AF. You start with a PVC box. That's what I did. My problem came about when I needed to progress to jumps and the box. Then box and an actual AF.
Weaves. Not cheap, but you can buy some that have the metal bottoms with the legs (like real ones). My friend let me borrow hers. It was broken down into 2 weaves (for 2x2 drills) and she had 3 sets for a total of 6 weaves. Was good enough for me in my little apartment.
Also, when I was working on Koji's 2on-2off, I used the couch for him to jump up on, to get on the board. Or chairs, ottoman, etc. Just so the board would be angled.
Do you have an ottoman? You can use that as a table. We had a L-shaped couch with the L part being a chaise. Which meant part of it had no back. I used that part to get him to get up and in a down position asap. The couch would work, but you want them to learn to stop (and not because there's something there stopping them).
Hmm...what else?
BTW, after watching that video, I would discourage doing that a LOT!! The dog was jumping straight up and down because it has no room to execute a natural run/jump. So, either make sure you have room for your dog to run and jump the jump, or work on drills that allow them a more natural jump. You want to teach your dog to jump correctly.
That's all the little tricks I did at home. The only other thing I would make sure you do.....distance work. It's not easy doing it at home in an apartment, but you can easily have your dog learn to go around things, even run from this room to that, etc. I wish I worked on it more in the beginning....when I had a bigger place. LOL. With every move, my apts got smaller and smaller.
