Are ALS (All life stage) kibbles really suitable for puppies?

Daisy is currently on Wellness Puppy since all Stitch and all my friends dog gets Wellness Puppy for their puppy.

Stitch is currently on TOTW and they are ALS (all life stage), I was wondering if it is ok to feed it to Daisy? It does have a lot more meat percentage compared to any other Kibbles made for puppies only.

I always like to stick to the lower meat content because I don't want the puppy to grow so fast as they might have joint, or bone problems. I know that this is critical in a large breed dog but how about Sheltie?

All i ever fed lacey was an ALS food. Acana Pacifica. She does great on it. Her coat is unreal, and she is tiny so i doubt that protein will have anything to do with growth. Origen has a puppy food and it is 40% and i have heard of many puppies that are doing fine on it and are as healthy as a horse so dont worrie about protein. As long as the ALS food contains enough fat (at least 17%) and not to much calcium, you should be fine.

Well I can onluy offer our experiances with our pups.Trapp & Jasper have been on TOTW since they came home from Janets. Neither one have not shown any issues, and I personally felt quite comfortable feeding an ALS food.

I think one would have to take in condieration of the dog itself. Ex..are there allergy issues, food senitivities etc. Then I would say probably not go the route of an ALS.Keeping the pup's health is and should be #1,and not the convienance of the food, and the fact one would have to find an adult kibble that agrees with the dog, when they are old enough to eat adult kibble.
