Since Merick switched thier formulas and is not making the salmon bg any more i had to find another food due to my sheltie having allergies. After searching around I tried Great life salmon grain and potato free. Oh my gosh they have never looked so good. Has anyone else used this food. My one sheltie had a stragly tail after a month on this its full again!!#

I've never tried this food, but I may now. Thanks for the recommendation! I have one female Sheltie that bites at herself all the time and seems worse on the kibble I've been feeding for the past month or so. Time for a change.

well i have 3 shelties and a lab it lasts a month. i feed my guys 1/3 twice a day and the lab 1 and a half three times a day.

Not to interfere...
but you feed your lab 1-1/2cups...3x a day??? Holy crap.

Our Earnhardt only was fed 1c (2x a day)..and he weighed 85lbs. I think you are feeding to much. Unless he is a growing puppy...he don't need that much food.

I am done playing the dog food roller coaster...lord me. I am done. Unless something goes vastly wrong,I am not even gonna look at this food or another. I made up my mind, and we are back feeding TOTW. I know in the few days I have been transitioning, all of the shleites are way less cranky. Trapp & Jasper have quit scratching. The food they were on,which is what Blake was eating before he came home, did not at all agree with my shelties.
So...if it ain't broke...don't fix it.

My lab is only 5 months old and is very active. He is not fat at all. I can see your concern tho we see overweight labs all the time at the bet. Hes 50 lbs now at 5 months but his dad and mom were around 90
