Bad day for Seamus

Poor Seamus, and poor you. I am so sorry that Seamus is not doing well. I will keep you all in my thoughts that Seamus improves for you. Take care, OK?

Seamus is an Irish name

Seamus is an Irish derivitive of James. I am Irish and Seamus is certainly Irish with his sable red and brown coat and he barks with a brogue.

Today is a little better, his appetite is waning a bit but he has been through a lot. The hacking rattle is abating and for that I am thankful.

Having all of your support does me and Seamus a world of good.

Seamus loves spaghetti squash, he missed his sgetti noodles so much when he went on his life helping diet so that as I added vegetables I realized that squash was on the list and spaghetti squash so closely resembled real pasta. I raise it over his head and he eats it down, satisfied that he has gotten a belly full of the real deal. His water intake was failing as well so I have taking to giving him ice chips which he thinks is a real good treat also. Just passing along some food tips for anyone who needs help with a sick sheltie.

Best,
Kate

Happy to see you are seeing some improvement with Seamus. Have you tried mixing low sodium chicken broth in his water to entice him to drink?

chicken broth

Oh yes Dawn, Seamus loves chicken broth in his h2o. Thank you so much he says, yummy!

I use the natural broth from his chicken when I boil it for him. Know what else? He loves fish juice. Great idea.

Seamus sends all love to all in here,

Best,
Kate
