Baker says hello!

I'm giving Baker's ears a day off from the bracing/tipping. So far I'm happy - but would value any opinions/suggestions from the experts here at SN.

They look great so far. Don't leave them out to long.:smile2:

I had Celtics out last weekend and they looked great. I so wanted to keep them out over night and take pictures(bi black best in sunlight) but since he is big time teething right now I didn't dare risk it. The good news is they are standing high on his head so I think the middle brace is done(typical of his line and okd by his breeder) But I am ready to put them back together if they drop a mm.

Just back from the vet for Baker's 2nd shot. He has officially gained 2 pounds!!! 12 weeks and 2 days old - 5lbs 2oz. Look out Cubby - he's gonna catch you! :biggrin2:

Also - had a bit of a dilemma since we are planning on being at the camper for the last part of August, first week of September - with his 3rd shot due smack dab in the middle. I didn't know if it could be done early, late or maybe I see if the vet near the campground would do it? :confused2:

My vet said the optimal window is 2 to 4 weeks between shots, so we will be doing it 3 weeks from now. That will be 3 days before we leave - perfect! Baker can actually get off the deck & go on a walk, maybe even check out the lake!

Yes, Cubby better watch out, Baker is hard on his heels.

We are doing shots every 24 days since it worked out that way. Tomorrow and Aug. 29th and we will be freeeeee! Rabies a week later though. Our first walk-on-the-ground outing is Sept. 6th.

You will be close enough to 16 weeks to count just fine immunity-wise I am sure. It's good you have a couple days before you leave for the immunity to activate well though.

How's potty training coming? Cubby's been doing really well with no accidents in a week -- only one accident in almost 2 weeks. I can tell he is holding it as he is peeing larger volumes outside which means he is holding it. He has learned to alert and I can recognize his single alert yip.

I want to see a video of Baker running agility! That will be the cutest thing ever! Anything Baker does is cute.

Yesterday we were talking about how well the housebreaking was going. Baker seems to find the door when in the den, which leads to outside. I was in the kitchen with him & he went into the den, went to the door & let out a little Baker-size whimper. Hubby took him out & he peed & pooped! It rained treats galore!!!

About 20 minutes later I was playing retrieve the toy with him & his water bowl was empty. He followed me into the kitchen & I thought it was so cute that he was watching me fill the bowl...until I realized he was peeing! :gaah

Glad I caught him in time to finish outside. I am almost happy for the occasional accident. If all he knows is that it's great to go outside...how will he learn that it's not a good idea to go inside?

Another size comparison photo. Baker could possibly fit INSIDE the milk jug. lol
