Barb- GO ?

Barb any word up your way on changes in Go or Now? I was feeding it to Zak and now the shop where I purchase it can't get it in the smaller bags and a 20 plus pound bag would be to way to big. Just wonder if it is a all round problem to get or is just because she has a small shop? This happened just after they changed to the new bags and formula.

They seem to be doing different size bags with the new ones. Where I am you can get the small size (5 or 6 lbs) and 12 lbs, which is what I buy, and then the large one. It took a while after the bag change though to get all the sizes in. Maybe that's the problem where you are.

She says her supplier can't get the smaller bags. I will tell her next week that places are still able to get so not sure why she can't. I hate to go some where else because I like supporting a small - independent store owner.

Go! and Now! just went through both repackaging as well as some reforumulations. Their website is not really clear on the changes unfortunately. I have a cheat sheet at the store that I'm happy to share. I might even have a soft copy somewhere. I'll try to remember to find it and post.

Frankly, my eyes are still spinning with the changes and I'm "in the know"!!! It is very confusing what they have done.

Bag sizes did change as well. The transition has been a little onerous as suppliers clear out their old stock to make ready for new. It could be that your small store is still stuck in transition.

They still have the 25lb bags.

The next size down is 12 lb.

Then, I think instead of 6lb, its now 8 lb (or maybe the other way around....I'm not at the store, so I'm just guessing)

Sample sizes used to be 1 lb but are now 0.5 lb.

My shop owner just emailed me that Go is back on her distributers list...so hopefully she can get what size I want. I am so very happy.

Just be aware that Go! also went from All Lifestages to Puppy, Adult and Senior as well for their chicken/salmon.

And Go! has also introduced a grain-free as well. Since they are from the same company as Now! its unclear why they would do that.

I keep meaning to make up a chart. I wish Go! and Now! would just become one. It would be so much easier. It's even worse because I still have some old bags on my shelf. Eyes spinning backwards. And this is a food I KNOW Imagine the poor consumer!

The only distinguishing feature of Now! is that it is purely Turkey, Duck and Salmon and now comes in Large Breed and Regular formulas. Go! has different protein mixes - combinations of chicken, duck, trout, etc.

I'm using the Go! grain-free for one of mine, Barb. It used to be their "Endurance" blend. I believe the difference is that it's a higher protein than the Now! grain-free. Haven't checked the bags but I'm pretty sure that's it.
