bathing advice

I'm using Bio-Groom.I had at one time bought the stuff Walmart has,but hated it.This stuff from Bio-groom was on sale here a bit ago,and so with it being on sale I ordered it.Really like it so far.

I ordered from CherryBrook,I'm pretty sure,it's been awhile.I also ordered a bottle of coat polish, really like that to.

I had the trial sizes of CC white on white, but honestly I did not care for the fragrance of the shampoo, almost nill. The conditioner & final rinse was nice, but for long term ordering,I just felt the price was a bit steep.

I mostly stick to Plush Puppy shampoo and CC conditioners. The worst shampoo I have EVER bought was from PetSmart. It was called PetHead, and it STINKS. No. Really. I mean it actually stinks. I thought the smell was never going to come out of their fur. :dead: Smells like melted plastic!

I think I have tried a Bio Groom product before and liked it. When Smudge first came home I bought a shampoo called "Fluffy Puppy Shampoo". That's the BEST puppy shampoo! I got it at PetSmart.

I do use Show Off! And I do like it, but it does seem to create build up over time. I expect that would be the same for all products, though. That's where the little fluff of baby powder from time to time is good.

What I like even better though is the CC Ice on Ice. I also use another product sometimes - Naked Care - See link

The distributor for this product is Judy at Duryvoe Shelties.

I use Pure Paws brightening (http://www.purepaws.net/shampoos information.html), it doesn't have conditioner, and so far no residue. I actually use it on my own hair. :smile2:

You can also rinse with white vinegar to get the residue out. Do a 50/50 vinegar/water spray and just spray some in, rub it through and rinse. I do this with my hair when I use other shampoos. I am a natural blonde, and have really thin hair, so almost everything leaves some residue. I don't use any conditioners at all, they are the worst. But this shampoo does a good job without the heaviness.

I bathe my dogs when they stink  For Cisco, that means usually once a month or once every two months. But I also bathe him about week before a show. As for Roxy, since she isn't a sheltie and is a smooth coated mutt (haha), she gets bathed either once a month or once every few weeks. She gets smelly quicker than Cisco, and no grooming spray can really help her. But like someone stated before me, in between baths for Cisco, I use a grooming spray and brush it completely through him. I can't remember the name of it though. I'll have to check when I get back home.
