good conversations.
Run like the cops are chasing you, is what I try on a course but I am a loud mouth by nature (doesn't come as a surprise to anybody, does it lol) I usually don't care a lot of what others think of me and I make sure my dog is having the best time! I don't care about much else as long as we're having a blast
However I also cheer for lots of other handlers and good runs still bring tears to my eyes, nothing more joyful than a dog doing what they love!!
I admit it, I am ridiculous
My trainer calls it my verbal diarrhea when I run a course, cuz I don't stop praising while running, lol
I say Good boy, Way to go, That's my guy, Come one buddy...
and Toffee is one of the very few dogs my Instructor knows that is SO used to it that it doesn't pull him off a jump while I go on, so she says she doesn't have to ask me to shut up and let the dog do it's job, lol... whereas when I am training Spruce he'd be W T F are you saying?? So I have to try and adjust the way I'll do things with him... He's silent when he runs, very food motivated, but for Toffee it's the chase and the ball and my enthusiasm... he also often barks a lil the whole way through... guess I got what I give, lol

. I have been working on increasing my volume. Initially I was worried she would think I was yelling at her and that she was in trouble, but so far it hasn't been a problem. I am glad to hear that other dogs don't need the crazy enthusiastic praise!
