Today was the day for the Internist. I was there for almost 5 hours.
She did a full abdomen scan, and sent the scan off to be read by a certified radiologist which is what caused the huge wait time. I thought she was certified--but no.
The reader's digest version is:
The gallbladder sludge was declared to be small (down from moderate), so no surgery will be needed for at least the foreseeable future.
His adrenal glands are a bit enlarged (possible Cushings in the future), his prostate is a bit enlarged with some mineral crystals or deposits which they attributed to being neutered late or a former infection rather than cancer.
So I can breathe easier knowing he isn't headed under the knife anytime soon!
Looks like Ann's Barkley and Benny are the only ones who benefitted from the ursodiol.
(She started trying to deal with the constipation issue but I don't even want to go down that road again with another vet who doesn't like raw food...at least she wasn't condescending, just didnt approve.)
