Best Shampoo

We use #1 All Systems "Super-Cleaning & Conditioning" to do the non-white parts, and White-on-White to do legs and ruffs. The #1 All Systems is just a good all-around shampoo, and there's no reason to use the nice whitening shampoo on the parts of your dog that aren't white. :wink2: (Really, there's no real reason to use the whitening shampoo at all - the clarifying will get the white parts clean - but it is nice if you want to get them really-really white and sparkly.)

Then, we use Top Performance Baby Powder shampoo to wash their faces. You might consider this one if you're very concerned about sensitivities; it's gentle enough that we use it on puppies, and it's what I use to bathe my pet rats (yes, they get baths too!). It's tear-free, formulated to be extra-gentle, and makes them smell really good!

I am a fan of the Plush Puppy products, particularly the 'Seabreeze Oil'. Although it seems expensive all the Plush Puppy products are concentrates so you dilute yourself with water. The seabreeze oil I use a couple of drops in a bucket of water and sponge my dogs down with a car sponge - it leaves their coats beautiful and they smell nice for ages. And it takes hardly any time to dry them off. I can clean my dogs regularly this way and only give them a full shampoo intermittently. I've saved myself a ton in grooming products since discovering the seabreeze rinse.

Oh, yes! I put a bit in a spray bottle and dilute with water. Makes a great mist for brushing!

Thanks so much, all of you, for these tips! These are great.

Buffy does have a pretty "rough" coat but with BioGroom I think it is pretty silky. I think that the AllSystems and Plush Puppy products sound like the most likely ones, but I might pick up some of the White on White if I get a chance.

Keep the tips coming if anyone still has them. :biggrin2:
