Brindle Sheltie??? what?

People involved in Rescue are kind, caring and amazing human beings. I went onto the web site that Stacey provided and the stories brought tears to my eyes. The majority of these dogs were in such terrible shape, heartworm positive, etc. and this Rescue group manages to raise the funds to pay for heartworm treatment as well as for necessary surgeries. From having worked at an SPCA, I have seen animals in terrible condition. I will never understand how some people can be so cruel and have so little regard for life. On the other hand, there are folks like those involved in Rescues like these who reaffirm one’s belief in the goodness of others. I don’t know about you guys, but I just asked Spencer if he has any idea how lucky he is. He yawned and went back to sleep, but I believe he does know.
 
I have never been a fan of any brindle colored anything and I have to say that I don't find it attractive in Shelties. I hope it stays rare. :biggrin2:
 
I have to say, I'm glad brindle isn't an allowed color in shelties. I'm really not a fan of the look of it :/ I would be quick to question the parentage of any sheltie that showed up as a brindle. As someone else mentioned, that particular allele does not appear to exist in the breed
