Bully sticks

Costco is the cheapest I ever found--but like everything else are more expensive than usual.
Cadet brand 12 pack, 9-12" sticks were $35.00 I think...
I have a vise in the garage and take a hacksaw and cut them in half. That helps make it last!
I need some sort of a clamp to help Piper eat them…he can do it but I have to hold it for him. Yesterday he put his paw on my hand to help himself pull on it as he chewed…those nails dig in when he does that!
I want to help him but not when it hurts me lol. Unfortunately I don’t think the bully stick holders would work for him because they’d tip over. I need a big piece of wood with a clamp attached to prevent the tipping. Now that spring is coming I can get my brother in law to work on this….unless anyone else has any ideas.

None of my dogs like the yak chews…I’ve bought them several times hoping one of them would like it but nope. I find with my dogs if something is too hard to chew they won’t eat it. I’d bought a really hard bully stick, one of them chewed the end a wee bit and then it remained ignored on the carpet. I’d give it do a dog and they’d drop it. I eventually threw it out. It’s frustrating and expensive to have dogs with discriminating taste!
Mine as well -- has anyone smelled Yak cheese arrrrgh. A friend gave me some to eat-- it was for humans and whoa- I don't blame my dogs!! Lots of dogs do love them for sure.

Thanks for finding that Cindy…I checked it out and the shipping is almost as expensive as the holder! Plus it wouldn’t arrive until the end of March. I did see some that are more expensive but I think I’ll look locally first.

well, that definitely makes shipping locally easier.
I tend to avoid pet stores here because things are so much more expensive than amazon, but if amazon was more expensive it would be better for businesses (and the economy in general I think).

We do have a HomeSense and Winners here (TJ Max owns them) and they generally have a good pet toy aisle for about 1/2 the price of pet stores. It is hit and miss especially when you’re looking for a specific toy but you never know. But you’re right about pet stores…they are considerably more expensive!
