Well we woke up bright and early to get ready for Cali's vet trip and when I did a little inspection on her jaw I noticed that the lump had gone down alot, but her nose seemed to be running quite a bit. The vet said that the lump was probably more then likely from her horse playing with my moms dog and not the wii remote since they are extremely rough when they play and bite each others faces/necks alot. When she checked her out, the lump was nearly gone but her lympnodes in her neck were a bit swollen and she said that was probably because of the little doggie cold she was coming down with. My moms dog goes to the groomers every few weeks (yes he is very spoiled) and picked up a cold from there a few weeks ago and I think Cali ended up with it from being there over the weekend. None the less, she said to definately keep an eye on it to make sure it does not swell back up but said that it was nothing to really worry about since it was pretty much gone. We got her bloodwork done to check for heartworms and that was negative and she also got her 3 year rabies shot while we were there to break them up a bit since all of her shots will be due in about a month or so. She was also given a week of clavamox and prednisone to try and knock it out before the cold gets really bad. Cali also has not really wanted to eat that much for the past 2 or 3 days and the doc said that it was probably from the cold and her nose running like it was so I have to try and heat up her wet/dry mix tonight so she can smell it a bit better.
Other then that she is doing well.. The lump is almost gone to the touch, she takes medicine remarkably well surprisingly.. I have to hold my cat Baxter down and force him to take meds! Her butt is a bit sore from the shot and she has been moping around and sleeping most of the day but hopefully the antibiotics will kick the cold right out so she can get back to normal.
I am also permanently switching my vet to Dr. Wright at Honeygo Animal Hospital (the lady that saw her today) because of how we were treated and pretty much squeezed in this morning to make sure this was not something serious. The entire staff was loving on Cali from the minute we walked in the door and it was the most pleasurable experience at a vet I have ever had in all of my years of owning animals! Anybody in the Baltimore/Harford County, Maryland area looking for a awesome vet give them a call!

When Kia doesn't get her yogurt she's upset. you see the extra attention she is just enjoying immensely. Hugs to Calie!! I think you made a wise choice switching vets also.
