Cali was being so good with no crate.. Until today!

I gotta say. I feel relieved to know that others have this same issue. To date, Koji has never been allowed full run of the house ever (he's 1.5 years old). He graduated to sleeping out of his crate this august. He's just so unreliable. I don't think we'll ever be able to let him out free. Which sucks, because that means we can't stay out all day/night on a weekend (with Miko, he can hold it all day if he needs to, heck sometimes he doesn't even wanna go out. lol, so we could leave early morning, come home late night). We are out no more than 5 hours at a time. :( Sigh. Maybe one day, but I'm thinking not. Koji has always been a chewer. We just bought him a larger crate. I'd Xpen him, but as of now, he just jumps over it (darn kid grew like a weed).

Yikes! How big is the Xpen! Bacca's a jumper but even he couldn't leap over the pen without abit of a running start!

I guess I've been lucky so far. Chinook, only 5.5 months has the run of the house when I go, and he's not chewed on anything. He has three times gotten into my plants though. He will chose one, usually the orchid, and very carefully tip it over and spread all the wood chips on the carpet. My last sheltie was never crated either and was Ok. I hope things will stay this way when I get the second one in three weeks :wink2: Keeping my fingers crossed!
