So we had our first class and I gotta say I was so incredibly proud of Finnie! For my barkiest boy he didn’t bark once, he did whine a bit as we were going up the stairs into the building but this was with anticipation. It’s been 1 1/2 years since he was here last when he hurt his hock but he knew we were here for him and it just warmed my heart to see how intensely happy he was!
The class itself was awesome...learnt front leg stretches (they call them the super man stretch because your extending the leg forward, then extending the elbow and bending the paw and also stretching the hind legs. We did paws on a balance beam, walking through a pile of sticks (hind end awareness) and paws up on a wall as well as the ‘gopher’...sitting and getting them to balance on hind legs with front paws in the air. I must say this is an amazing class and I’d look to see if anyone in your area is doing it

Check to see if it’s in your area, you won’t be disappointed! The drive home Finnie was so relaxed, napping on the seat beside me and when we got home my mom remarked how he was like a different dog...so relaxed! Normally he won’t let my mom pat his head he’s so mouthy and playful but she was stroking his head and he was just loving it.

Here’s a look of pure bliss…Finnie getting his bedtime stretches….E508143A-08CB-4E95-AA38-795515D52BE0.jpeg Thanks everyone! I think this is the best class I’ve ever taken. How many times have we wondered how to rehab a dog after an injury or to have a healthy dog who doesn’t all of a sudden pull a muscle from running across the yard!
