Car sick

Casey is 19 weeks and has the same problem. However I will say when we went to training class on Sunday he didn't throw up. It was four hours after he had ate, maybe that had something to do with it. He seems to always throw up when we go to the gas pumps. Hoping he will outgrow it but my beautician's chi pup is two and he still gets car sick.

Hugo has had 4 successful zero puke rides in the car so far! I'm luring him up to the car with the promise of a treat, putting him inside with a treat and a stroke and then off we go. I have only done very short journeys of 10-15 mins but its a huge achievement for him.... He would usually puke within that time! I think the treats for him really help and hopefully he will associate the car with good things rather than nasty, pukey rides.
 
Thanks for the stories with the happy no puke endings! Gives me hope. I will take them to the vet for a visit again soon to weigh them (after his tummy is empty and I put down plastic liners on the floor as well as cover the seat).

I so wanted a dog that loved to go for a ride in the car. Our first Sheltie was a great traveler. My last two didn't get sick but didn't like it. Koko doesn't seem to care one way or the other so far.
