My Sheltie, Lady age 11 was recently found to have a carcinoma which was attached to her liver. She had surgery on April 3rd - which went very well - and the tumor was taken out. It was as big as a large grapefruit. She is to have her staples out later today. She is eating normally now, back to her old self and getting good reports from her Vet. 
Thankfully she will have a few more years with us. She was a rescue sheltie adopted by us when she was 5 years old.
