Carpenter Ants

Beware. They bite. (And hold on when they do.) Thought nothing of taking one away from Blaze. (He eats everything.) I now have six tiny blisters on my finger. (I am certain that there would have been more if I hadn't finally dislodged the ant dispatching it to "ant heaven".) And believe me when I say that it hurt a lot more than such a little thing has any right to.

We are in Port Orchard, WA and those ugly suckers are out in full force. DH just sprayed two bags of that white powder stuff, non toxic to fur babies and humans, under the house. Yesterday after Macgreggor came in from outside I found one crawling on him. Flicked it off and sent it to ant heaven.

it is war

I am forever in battle with ants...if I could have an anteater I think I would just to kill them. I don't use poison but I do use grits, swells them up and makes them pop-good riddance.
