I gave my boy plain Cheerios as reward treats. Sometimes, a short while after getting a Cheerio, he would bark, and half a Cheerio would fly out of his mouth. He would immediately search the grass, determined not to let that half Cheerio get away. I had to give him a replacement Cheerio, to get him to stop searching.
