Chicken feet

Chicken feet are awesome! xD They're fun to play with, too. Get some pliers and use them to pull on a tendon and thus move the foot. I first did that in science class a few years ago, actually.
 
Seem's to me I saw them at a Sweet Bay store.... does sound a bit gross. I saw them somewhere else but can't remember where. I have to admit I would have a hard time feeding these....are they soft or hard?

The dehydrated ones are hard...same texture as flossies.
 
My dogs love both raw and dehydrated chicken feet. I was a bit scared of them when I first started raw feeding, but now it's no big deal to me. They get smelly fast so I freeze mine usually right away. They totally love them raw and eat them pretty fast-- chomp, chomp, swallow! They are fabulous for raw feeders b/c I can throw one in with a really rich meal and not have to worry about tummy problems.

That's exactly what I do when I feed an organ meal!
 
So, the little bones in raw chicken feet are ok to give? And silly question -does my sheltie need to be used to eating raw meat first?

Personally, I love eating chicken feet in a Chinese restaurant. I've never attempted nor do I want to cook these myself. Looking at them in a raw state is really different when they are cooked and smothered with sauce.

yes, those little bones are just fine. and it shouldn't upset tummy and if it did, I can't imagine it being anything too bad. I've never seen them at a Chinese Restaurant lol I wonder how they taste.... i can assure u that you'll have one happy dog if you let them fine out hehe
 
got some yesterday from local store, gave to my gang, seems to went well. It is much cheaper than chewies but satisfy same function with my two, am sure all that cartilage will be very useful for their bodies.
 
I'm sure my dogs would love them, but I can't do it.

One of my ex-boyfriends had an Irish father and a Chinese mother. All three of the kids were beautiful. His father spoke Mandarin, which made it fun to watch the servers in the Chinese restaurants goggle at him. Anyway, we went to Dim-sum near his parents house and they had chicken feet. YECH!!!
