Chin rubs

So Ian likes his chin rubbed, a lot. He we will let me hold his nose to rub his chin. He also will his chin on things with texture. Yes ear rubs are good, belly rubs yep and of course butt rubs. But I have never had a guy that likes chin rubs.

Finnie will walk along my mom’s bed and rub his jaw on it, or on her chair, heck even the steel legs of our counter he’ll rub his jaw on it. I tell my mom he’s the reincarnation of Riley because he did this too! Although in Finnie’s case (and maybe Riley’s) sometimes I’m not sure if he’s attempting to rub it or clean it as I frequently see him doing it after a meal. Maybe I should give him a napkin! lol

Zulu does the same thing. He will walk along one side of the bed, go the other side, and do the same thing. He only does it to the beds.

Thing that get me is the sure hold my nose so you can rub my chin

One of my crew is always itching one side of his face or the other-- he will barely tolerate a cheek scratch tho-- the other crew member has no problems in that regard. But Butt rubs OMG that is the cat's meow for both of the crew-- I could spend all day give butt scritches...

That is funny! None of my Shelties have ever done this behavior. It must feel good though!

Shelby would always “clean her whiskers” after eating by rubbing along all the furniture. Hollie did this as well but she would rub her face on the carpet! They are the only dogs I have ever had that did this.
