Chiropractor - Ongoing Chloe saga

So....I dropped Chloe off at the vet at 7:15 for her x-ray. I will be picking her up late this afternoon.

Why do I have this pit in my stomach  It is just an x-ray, right?

Because we always expect the worse, for ourselves or our furbabes. Hope all is well. Will look for the update later today.

Praying everything goes well today. You have a pit there because you are not with her and we always worry when something is being done. I hate dropping them off for any tests. I always think I wish I was there by their side so they're not scared, wondering what is going on and many other things. We love our dogs and it's tough not knowing. Hopefully you'll know what is going on soon and than you can come up with a solution that is good for Chloe.

Cripes.

So the vet wants to meet with me to discuss the x-rays. I am guessing that means there is SOMETHING going on, but they are not telling me over the phone. They are not going to see me until 5:30. Therefore, I am going to be sitting on egg shells for the rest of the day.

Anyway, I have a dinner planned with friends at 6PM, which I will obviously be late for, so I will not be able to give an update until later tonight.

Please please everyone say a prayer for my little girl that this isn't something serious. Now I am worried.

Good news is she was a VERY good girl and they did not have to give her any anesthia or sedation to get the x-rays done. That's my baby girl. Now I am in tears. So worried.

Praying for you and Ginny all will be well. I'll be watching for her results later. I know it's tough but try and take a deep breath and try not to drive yourself crazy with what it could be. We're all here for you. Hugs

Deep breaths. You will know soon enough, and whatever it is, the vet will arm you with the right information to make the best decisions for Chloe. She is in good hands.

Sometimes, even when things are benign, it is easier to explain in person, rather than over the phone, especially if they want to show you the X-Rays.

Thanks all for your thoughts. Chloe's x-rays were perfect. There was nothing that my vet could see that is wrong. She was a pefect angel for getting the x-rays. She didn't require any sedation and he said that she was the best dog that he ever x-rayed. She was so good. That's my girl.

So....he thinks that Chloe has some residual tenderness from the Lyme's disease in her wrist joint. We are not going to do anymore antibiotic therapy right now. I am just supposed to not let her do agility for awhile, and try and not let her come down stairs or jump off the couch or bed. I am supposed to give her a baby aspirin if she looks like she is in pain. We are going to do this for a month or so and then do some more bloodwork if it continues to see what her titers are.

In the meantime, I am considering having acupuncture done on her. It is supposed to help with the pain, and maybe stop her if she is just limping out of habit, as well.

So......the saga continues.

Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, and most of all support.

Dani
