Cik and cap training?

Just got my cik&cap DVD and as always very fascinated by Silvia's Trkman methods.
Seems like a neat trick. Silvia mentions that this is where she makes most of her fast times, on tight turns and not on running contacts as many believe.
For those of you who compete and trial, what your thoughts? Did you try it? Did you find it useful?

I haven't tried it--but I love the idea. Wide turns is Lexi's biggest issue (always has been) and I wish I had known about this trick a year ago!

I know that Ania (who doesn't post here often) has done it with her dogs and it looks really nice. I'm interested to hear what you think of it.

I taught face the cik and cap, because here in europe we've got soooo much courses where tight turns are needed.

especially because face is sooooo fast it helps that she can do tight turns at jumps on her on, still when I am 1-2 obstacles behind :biggrin2:

We don't train it as "Cik" and "Cap", but we do it in all our classes - even with the beginners.
as lunatic face said - we have so many competitions, where the obstacles are so close, that you have to be a very, very, very fast runner, to get qualified without using things like cip&cap, no matter how you name it... :biggrin2:
